Ximena & Rolando. Cholula, México. 6/13/2010
I loved Ximena! She is not only my favorite cousin but she is also the sweetest, smartest girl I know. Born and raised in Mexico, she is an Engineer working for Volkswagen of Mexico. Married in 2009, Ximena and her groom, Rolando, worked with a local photographer (In Cholula, Puebla, México) and were not 100% happy with their wedding pictures; so Ximena decided to do a re-shot with my friend Iza and I. We shot at one of the older and most beautiful (1600’s) Cathedrals in Cholula, México. It was so much fun to photograph such a gorgeous bride!!

Gaby & Sergio Wedding. Jiutepec, Mor. México. 7/17/2010

Gaby is a sweet girl that belongs to a very old, prestigious, historical and beautiful family ‘The Alanis’ (mostly a clan), where a small ‘get together’ on a regular Sunday morning is of around 40+ people. With a family this size and the cultural ties they all hold, needles to say they REALLY KNOW how to throw a party!! (I married into this family…so I know!!) 300 guest (+), 16 (+) bridesmaids, tons of food, drinks, music, sweets and a fantastic cake; beautiful decorations and little guest gifts all hand made by the entire family. Every detail was pristine and perfect. Everyone looked gorgeous!! I was not just the ‘formal’ photographer, but also a guest. So we decided that I would shoot all the ‘before’ shots, the formals before the ceremony, the ceremony, and the formals after the ceremony. The party was shot by another friend of Gaby’s. We started the day with the ‘before’ pictures and moved right to the wedding party photos. After that we all walked 2 blocks to a beautiful historic (300 year old) church where the family priest gave us a beautiful ceremony. The church was beautifully decorated by the family women (all of them). After that we all walked back to the Alanis’ house where the reception was held in their enormous gardens. What a fabulous party that was! There were even fireworks!! It was a spectacular wedding. Congratulations and lots of love Gaby & Sergio!!
